Hello, I’m Matthias – an adult cello student at the Emmerich Smola Music School & I also play in the chamber orchestra in K´town, Germany.
I feel very well looked after here. I walk up and down the ESM stairwell with my instrument several times a week.
Once I thought, why shouldn’t I present one of my many other hobbies and use it to spruce up the walls of the floors for a few weeks.
In this case it is photography with editing and image distortion.
It is one of my many creative fields, which you can find out more about by scanning the QR codes on the poster.
No matter how small your car is, you always have to have a cello in it.
When it comes to photography and its further processing, I give free rein to my creativity, not just for my own enjoyment.
Impressions of everyday life, emotions shaped by making music and composing give rise to all kinds of statements with different depths of creation.
Sometimes it turns out to be a kind of caricature, a fun picture,
to something thoughtful or to something slightly abstract.
In this case it is clear that the subjects of this photo series are influenced by their love of the cello instrument.
For you it could certainly be another instrument that is currently bringing you a lot of fun in your life?
A violin, a viola… a trumpet, a guitar, the flute,… the piano? Do you maybe play drums…?
